Warning: This infobox has missing parameters: otherlife and unrecognized parameters: imageBG Herios IV was a jungle planet that occupied the fourth orbital position[2] within the Herios system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Herios sector.[1] At some point during the Galactic Civil War, a conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, Herios IV was the site of an Imperial settlement overseen by a governor. During that time, a group of slavers arrived on the planet, bringing with them the Barabel male Baraduk that they had captured. Upon their arrival on Herios IV, Baraduk managed to break free from his captors. The Barabel raided the settlement's arms depot, stealing several weapons including a portable missile launcher, and escaped into the jungle. The Imperial governor made a vow to recapture Baraduk, however the hunt that followed was a failure, resulting in the deaths of fifteen Imperial Army soldiers while the Barabel fugitive remained at large. Eventually the governor offered Baraduk a quiet amnesty, asking in exchange that the Barabel leave Herios IV and never return. Baraduk accepted the offer and left the planet.[2]

Behind the scenes

Herios IV was first mentioned in the 1994 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters, which was written by Rick D. Stuart for West End Games.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Herios system, and therefore the planet, in grid square T-16.[3]
