Herios IV was a jungle planet located within the Outer Rim Territories' Herios sector. At some point during the Galactic Civil War, a group of slavers brought the Barabel Baraduk to the planet's Imperial colony, but the Barabel escaped into the jungle, stealing several weapons from the settlement. After a prolonged hunt for Baraduk failed to result in his capture, the colony's governor granted the Barabel amnesty in return for the fugitive's departure from the planet.

Description[]

Herios IV was a jungle planet that occupied the fourth orbital position[2] within the Herios system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Herios sector.[1]

History[]

During the Galactic Civil War, a conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, a group of slavers arrived on Herios IV, bringing with them the Barabel Baraduk, whom they had previously captured. Upon their arrival at the Imperial colony on the planet, Baraduk managed to break free from his captors. The Barabel raided the settlement's arms depot, stealing several weapons, including a portable missile launcher, and escaped into the jungle.[2]

The colony's Imperial governor vowed to recapture Baraduk, but the six-month-long hunt that followed was a failure, resulting in the deaths of fifteen Imperial Army soldiers while the Barabel fugitive remained at large. Eventually, the governor offered Baraduk a quiet amnesty, asking in exchange that the Barabel leave Herios IV and never return. Baraduk accepted the offer and left the planet.[2]

Inhabitants[]

Herios IV was the site of an Imperial colony overseen by a governor during the Galactic Civil War. The settlement included an arms depot.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Herios IV was mentioned in the 1994 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters, which was written by Rick D. Stuart for West End Games.[2] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Herios system, and therefore the planet, in grid square T-16.[3]
