Hesten were large-eared primates that lived on the planet Balnab. They were often trapped in nets by castaways on the planet. Hesten had white and blue fur. They had six limbs in total, four of them being arms with hands that included three long fingers each. Their feet had three toes.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Hesten first appeared in "Nomad Droids,"[1] though they were not identified until the release of the episode's guide on the StarWars.com official website. Their name is a reference[2] to actor Charlton Heston due to his role in the 1968 film, Planet of the Apes. The tee-muss-riding Balnab attempting to catch the Hesten is a reference to the movie, which featured similar scenes.[2]
