Hiffis was a terrestrial celestial body[3] located in the Hiffis system, a part of the Jjannex sector[1] in the Western Reaches portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was the site of a lightly guarded warehouse of the Galactic Empire that was used to store outdated heavy equipment, including a large fleet of mostly well-maintained Ultra-Light Assault Vehicle (ULAV) landspeeders. At some point during the Galactic Civil War,[3] decades after the establishment of the Empire[4] in 19 BBY,[5] the Rebel Alliance carried out a commando raid on the facility that resulted in the theft of usable equipment, most importantly the fleet of ULAVs.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Hiffis was first mentioned in Paul Murphy's 1990 The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook, which was published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[6] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Hiffis system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square L-18.[2]
