"When you arrive, take out their leaders. Then find proof that they are behind the smuggled spice and are attempting to incriminate the Diktat and his administration."
Lieutenant Jasper, to a spacer[1]

Hiram Bish was a Human male who lived on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War. He was a member of the Corellian Security Force before choosing to become a criminal.

Biography[]

"Well, I must say that I am very impressed. You not only foiled the plot to discredit the Diktat, but defeated the Rogue CorSec commanders who were apparently behind the whole thing!"
Lieutenant Jasper, to a spacer[1]

Hiram Bish was once a member of the Corellian Security Force. However, by the time following the Battle of Yavin, he was part of the group of CorSec troopers and agents who left CorSec in pursuit of a more criminal lifestyle. Along with Mtara Vinram, Hiram Bish became one of the commanders of the Rogue CorSec.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Bish and Vinram elaborated a plot to discredit the Diktat, Daclif Gallamby, and his government.[1] As part of the plot, they created evidences that the Diktat himself was smuggling illegal spice in the Coronet Capitol. The plot was finally foiled by a spacer recruited by CorSec Lieutenant Mack Jasper.[3] The spacer infiltrated the Rogue CorSec Base to find proof of the Diktat's innocence. Hiram Bish and Mtara Vinram were killed during the assault.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Hiram Bish appeared as a non-player character in the video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4]

Hiram Bish was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[5] He was part of questline that featured the Rogue CorSec plot against the Diktat.[1] This story arc was later slightly revamped with the release of the "Publish 27", on February 15, 2006,[6] as the questline was integrated into the "Legacy Quest," the main questline in the game.[1]

  2. 2.0 2.1 According to its opening crawl, Star Wars Galaxies was set sometime after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The only precise time indication in the game was given by the character Ruwan Tokai, who referenced the destruction of the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin as occurring one year earlier, placing the game sometime around 1 ABY. Later, multiple elements confirmed the placement of the game storyline in 1 ABY. First, The Essential Reader's Companion established that the tie-in novel Star Wars Galaxies: The Ruins of Dantooine took place in 1 ABY. Furthermore, the game expansion Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees was set during the Blockade of Kashyyyk, one year after the Battle of Yavin according to The Star Wars Holiday Special. Additionally, the main scenario of The Nightsister's Revenge from the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game was set over a year before the Battle of Hoth (3 ABY), so around 1.5 ABY. Finally, the reference book Strongholds of Resistance placed the events of Star Wars Galaxies's Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" one year after the Battle of Yavin. Of note, Galaxies's Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" introduced the Battle of Hoth in the game. However, the developers were quite clear that this was only intended to be a completely isolated "Star Wars Moment" without any effect on continuity for the rest of the game.
