This holomap was used by the CIS to analyze the Battle of Geonosis
Holomaps were topographic maps portrayed by holographic means, usually for military use. They displayed areas of the galaxy, and were used in exploration. Many holomaps have the ability to display images of ships and/or weaponry on certain planets or in certain regions, resulting in their use in strategic planning.
The Map to the Valley of the Jedi was created by stone tiles by Morgan Katarn, and hidden from the Galactic Empire. Those were removed by the Seven Dark Jedi and administrative droid 8t88 reassembled them in the Government House on Sulon; he deciphered it and reconstructed the way to Ruusan as a 3d digital holomap which he transmitted to the Emperor's Hand Jerec on board the Vengeance. Even though the original tiles were destroyed, Kyle Katarn salvaged the holomap from 8t88's head.[1][2]
