Honoghran, or Noghrese was the native language of the Noghri species from Honoghr.[2] Upon first encountering Noghri speaking Honoghran, the protocol droid C-3PO only partially understood the language and believed it was a dialect of an ancient trade language.[1]
Most Noghri were fluent in both Honoghran and Basic, although with whispered, chilling and soft voices. However, they were usually only literate in their own language.[2]
Aliens who regularly dealt with Noghri, including as Grand Admiral Thrawn[3] and Leia Organa Solo,[4][5] sometimes learned Honoghran to speak with them.
