Hoojibs were a species of small, white-furred beings. They had long ears and an antenna on the top of their heads, and moved on four legs. The smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca brought a hoojib for the menagerie of the crime lord Jabba the Hutt, hoping to win his favor, though the critter was not what it had seemed.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

"As for how it happened… I kept trying to sneak Hoojibs in until they let me do it properly."
―Cavan Scott[src]

Hoojibs will appear in the new Star Wars canon in a comic story written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Arianna Florean, and published in IDW Publishing's Star Wars Adventures Annual 2021 in November 2021.[1] The species originally debuted in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1981 comic Star Wars (1977) 55, written by David Michelinie, penciled by Walter Simonson, and published by Marvel Comics.[2]
