Huk[5] was a barren planet[4] located in the system[3] of the Huk sector[2] in Wild Space,[1] the homeworld of the technologically-advanced insectoid Yam'rii species.[3]
History[]
The Yam'rii ruthlessly invaded their sector, stripped many worlds of their resources and sold them as slaves, and then turned their attention to Kalee. Years later,[2] one Kaleesh warlord named Qymaen jai Sheelal, now known as Grievous.[6] led a ruthless war against their planetary neighbor, the Yam'rii.[5] Having been driven from their world by the Kaleesh forces led by Grievous, the Yam'rii did something unexpected and asked the Republic for help.[2] The Republic[5] and the Jedi, the protectors of the Republic,[7] sided with them[5] and intervened in the conflict between the two species.[3] Grievous developed a personal vendetta against the Republic[5] and the Jedi as a result, eventually allying himself with InterGalactic Banking Clan[2] and becoming an enforcer.[6]
