The Hunters were elite members of the Warrior caste of the Yuuzhan Vong, a specially selected elite comprising in total perhaps one tenth of one percent of the caste. They had enhanced physical senses, and wore the cloak of Nuun, which allowed them to blend into their surroundings.
Hunters were assigned to special missions regular Warriors were unskilled at. These included assassination, reconnaissance, and stealth. They could also serve in command roles leading other warriors, as Tsaa Qalu did on Wayland.
