A husk necklace, also called an Aki-Aki necklace,[2] was a type of yellow colored necklace used by the Aki-Aki species on the planet Pasaana.[3]
In 35 ABY[4] the Jedi Rey visited Pasaana during the Festival of the Ancestors as part of her search for clue that would lead to the location of a Sith wayfinder.[1] There, she encountered the teenage[3] Aki-Aki reveler Nambi Ghima. Ghima gifted Rey with a husk necklace, but shortly after the First Order Supreme Leader Kylo Ren stole the necklace from Rey through their Force-bond and handed it off to First Order intelligence officer Tishra Kandia with orders to determine its origins. Kandia analyzed the necklace and discovered it came from Pasaana's Forbidden Valley in the Middian system. Using this information, Ren traveled to Pasaana with the Knights of Ren to confront Rey and her Resistance allies.[1]
