"Well, they don't build them like that anymore."
"That's because not even the Hutt Aviation Authority would certify this Narsh dirt-crate airworthy."
RC-8015 and RC-1309[1]

The Hutt Aviation Authority, or simply the HAA, had the duty of regulating and certifying vehicles within the scope of the Hutt Cartel to be airworthy. They had a reputation for low standards when certifying aircraft, which was made note of[1] in 22 BBY[2] by clone commando RC-1309 while at the Fleet Support Air Station on[1] the Outer Rim planet[3] Ord Mantell, when he observed a Nar Shaddaa agri-utility crop sprayer that appeared to be in danger of falling apart.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Hutt Aviation Authority was mentioned in the 2004 novel Hard Contact, the first novel in the Republic Commando series written by Karen Traviss.[1]
