A HyCor laser repeater was a type of vent-barreled laser repeater.[1] By 4 ABY,[2] the human Corwin Ballast owned one of the weapons and carried it strapped to his body, under his jacket. While visiting[1] the Inner Rim[3] planet Jakku[1] that year,[2] Ballast was threatened by a rag-man and brandished his laser repeater to wave off the man's threat.[1]
