An ice age occurred on the planet Kamino sometime before the Clone Wars^[1] when it underwent a dramatic shift in climate. During the ice age, Kamino had land and many glaciers including glacial poles. After climate change started occurring on Kamino, the sea levels rose and Kamino was submerged underwater. Many species almost went extinct, but were saved from extinction by the Kaminoan genetic cloning.^[source?]
