"Say, do you know if Bode has any food allergies?"
"I can ask."

Icefish were a type of fish that were edible to humans[1] and Latero.[2] In 18 BBY,[3] Milo Graf regretted eating the last of a stock of icefish for breakfast while enduring a particularly turbulent ride in space.[1]

In 9 BBY,[4] the Latero Greez Dritus asked the Jedi Knight Cal Kestis if their human crewmate Bode Akuna had any allergies, explaining that if Akuna did not then he could cook icefish, Mygeeto burgers, and enyak bobs to celebrate once they reached the planet Tanalorr.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

In the current Star Wars canon, icefish were first mentioned in the 2017 novel Adventures in Wild Space: The Rescue, the sixth entry in Tom Huddleston's Star Wars: Adventures in Wild Space series.[1] The fish originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in "Taster's Choice: The Tale of Jabba's Chef," a short story written by Barbara Hambly and published in the 1995 anthology Tales from Jabba's Palace.[5] The fish then appeared in "The Great Herdship Heist," a story written by Daniel Wallace and published in the Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game magazine Star Wars Adventure Journal 15 by West End Games[6] on November 1, 1997.[7]
