Iggjel and the Mother Jungle is a short narrative story published in The Star Wars Sourcebook in 1987. Iggjel, drawn to the Mother Jungle, takes his friend to the surface of Ithor. It was reprinted in the second edition of the book in 1994.
Plot summary[]
Iggjel's herd-friend accompanies him to the surface of Ithor. Iggjel, drawn by the Mother Jungle, abandons his herd and takes on a new calling as a priest in Ithor's unknown lands.[1]
Continuity[]
The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia states that Iggjel was one of the Ithorian's first priests.[4] Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, which took place in 3951 BBY,[5] features Chodo Habat, an earliest established Ithorian priest in the timeline.[6] Therefore, it can be deduced that the story takes place sometime before 3951 BBY.
