An Imperial Mine had been established on the planet Lok by the Galactic Empire. In the later stages of the Galactic Civil War, minerals and gasses were mined there and used by the Empire or sold for profit. There was very little Imperial presence at the facility, which was mainly guarded by droidekas.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Imperial Mine was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[2] The Imperial Mine was added to the game as part of the so-called "Nym's Theme Park", released with the "Publish 3" on October 8, 2003.[3] This questline was later revamped with the release of the "Game Update 16: Stronghold of the Lok Revenants", on March 23, 2010.[4]
