The Imperial Royal Guards Unit Expansion is an expansion to Star Wars: Legion, an asymmetrical two player infantry-based wargame published by Fantasy Flight Games. As indicated by the name, it includes four scale models of the Emperor's Royal Guard. It was first announced on July 10, 2018.
In April of 2025, the Royal Guard expansion was removed from official Star Wars: Legion play by Atomic Mass Games, with an official announcement saying the decision was not made lightly. According to AMG, the decision is to ensure the future of Star Wars: Legion and came after both input from Lucasfilm and internal analysis.[3]
