"I wear this armor to ensure I remember what I'd sooner forget."
―Aran Tal[5]

A variant of Mandalorian armor was worn by the Imperial Super Commandos.[2] Like regular Mandalorian armor, it was made of beskar alloy.[1] It was normally white, reminiscent of stormtrooper armor.[2] However, it could be highlighted with various colors to denote status: Gar Saxon, as the Imperial Viceroy of Mandalore, added red paint;[2] and Tristan Wren, while a member of the Imperial Super Commandos, had yellow shoulder tips.[3] Imperial-loyal Mandalorians in the super commando armor battled with anti-Imperial Mandalorians in the ensuing Mandalorian Civil War, during which anti-Imperial Mandalorian clans banded together as the Mandalorian resistance under the leadership of rightful Mand'alor Bo-Katan Kryze.[1]

Unable to control Mandalore,[6] the Empire would ultimately launch a genocidal-Great Purge of the Mandalorian people.[7] A survivor of the Empire's purge,[8] the Mandalorian Aran Tal owned a set of Imperial Super Commando armor identified as the "Imperial Justice" suit, which he was able to wear during his days as a Hunter in the Grand Arena. In Tal's opinion, wearing the armor was a way to remember would he would rather forget.[5]
