The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

This Imperial capital ship was a wedge-shaped vessel that served as a part of Admiral Giel's assembled fleet c. 3 ABY.[1]

Characteristics[]

It was very similar in appearance to Giel's flagship, the Praetor II-class Star Battlecruiser Helmsman, but instead of a simple arrowhead hullform, it had a truncated bow with double-pronged protrusions either side of a recessed area.[1]

Based on a comparison with other Imperial warships, like the Gladiator-class Star Destroyer[2] or the Broadside-class cruiser,[3] the torus-shaped section protruding from the stern either contained hangars, docking bays or missile batteries of some sort.[1]

Similar to the Praetor Mark II-class battlecruiser, the ship possessed ring structures near the end of the ship's ridge.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

This ship appears in a single panel in Star Wars (1977) 61; its design seems to be derived from that of Admiral Giel's ship, the Helmsman, which plays a major role in the same issue, and which was based on early concept art for Darth Vader's vessel, Executor. Given the many similarities in appearance, it is possible that this ship and the Helmsman were variants of the same Praetor II-class Star Battlecruiser design, or separate designs deriving from a shared design tradition.
