Allied Regions and Imperial client states.
Imperial client states referred to semi-independent sectors that were economically, politically, or militarily subordinate to the Galactic Empire during the Imperial Era.[1]
These states did not answer directly to Imperial Center, but rather owed some form of allegiance to the Empire. They could not oppose the Empire militarily or dare to work against the Empire's goals publicly. Some client states were the Corporate Sector Authority, the Centrality,[1] the Corellian sector[2] in addition to the few remaining Galactic Republic's Allied Regions.[1] The Galactic Empire maintained embassies in these client states.[3]
