An Imperial hunter was an individual who tracked down former Imperial war criminals who had gone in hiding to avoid facing justice.[1]
In the months after the Battle of Endor, the New Republic commissioned Imperial hunters to bring in Imperials such as Perwin Gedde to face justice in the Republic Tribunal.[2]
Near the end of the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic commissioned Alphabet Squadron to track down and destroy Shadow Wing, a lethal Imperial Starfighter Squadron.[3]
