"A lovely Twi'lek named Inaldra. She just took over as Station Master here, and she seems to be in over her head."
Han Solo, to a spacer[1]

Inaldra was a female Twi'lek who was the head of Tansarii Point Station during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography[]

"HAH! Some station master she is. Can't even take care of the pirates in the lower level. Look at the chaos around you, my friend."
Tarand Crowe, to a spacer[3]

Around the Battle of Yavin, Inaldra became the Station Master of Tansarii Point Station, a space station located above Ord Mantell, in the Bright Jewel system.[1] The station was home for the Car'das, a syndicate ruled by Talon Karrde, but it also offered services to travelers such as ship repairs, catering and entertainment.[2] Although the Galactic Empire sometimes had troops visiting the station,[4] Inaldra was rather sympathetic to the Rebel Alliance and provided information to any smuggler who wanted to contact the Rebellion.[5]

At some point, Inaldra made business with the smuggler Han Solo but something went wrong and Solo bailed out of the deal. The woman lost thousands of credits and had her reputation wrecked. She remained very angry against him for a while.[1]

In 1 ABY,[6] Inaldra had to deal with an increasing number of problems that seriously threatened Tansarii Point Station. On the lower level of the station, malfunctioning droids has turned violent and attacked people working on this lower level[7] while a band of criminals working for the Hutt had taken over one of the cargo bays.[8] In the meantime, on the upper level of the station, the increasing number of voracious beasts present in the station's atrium had become dangerous for the visitors.[9] The situation also became complicated in the star system due Black Sun pirates that intensively raided civilian traffic as well as Car'das starships.[10] Moreover, a war erupted between the Car'das and the Rak'qua, a tribe of bellicose Nautolan living in neighboring Station Gamma.[11]

As the problems accumulated, people on the station became very critical towards Inaldra and started to doubt about her capacity to face the situation.[12][13] Fortunately, she could count on several loyal individuals who worked for her, in particular her lieutenant, the combat instructors Rydel Delan and Loche Crestingsky, the security director, the hunter Raylen Finn, and the pilots and flight instructors Serissu, Laetin A'shera, Aleas Rans'ery and Dartas Pytin.[14]

Hence, Inaldra's Lieutenant recruited numerous spacers to work for the Tansarii Point's staff and deal with the situation. First, the security director ordered the spacers to get rid of the Hutt criminals[15] while Inaldra tasked a spacer with killing the Hutt boss.[8] Meanwhile, the spacers working for Loche Crestingsky discovered that the malfunctioning droids on the lower level were hacked and eventually prevented the Black Sun to slice into the Tansarii Point's main databanks.[16] In the meantime, spacers working for Rydel Delan significantly reduced the population of hostile beasts present in the atrium.[9] They also defeated the Genesis Red gangsters and foiled their attempt to sabotage the station.[17] Outside Tansarii Point Station, in Station Gamma, the conflict between the Car'das and the Rak'qua caused high casualties. However, Officer Antom Moria discovered the involvement of a local arms dealer in the outbreak of the conflict and was finally able through negotiation to convince both parties that the war was meaningless.[18] In the meanwhile, the skirmishes with the Black Sun pirates In the Ord Mantell space turned to a violent space battle. However, Laetin A'shera, Aleas Rans'ery and Dartas Pytin recruited and trained a number of independent pilots who bolstered Car'das forces and made the difference in dogfights.[19][20][21] Finally, Car'das pilots emerged victorious, removing the Black Sun threat from the Bright Jewel system.[21]

The intervention of the spacers proved crucial to help Inaldra and Tansarii Point Station. Ironically, the most proficient spacer was sent to her by Han Solo who wished to air her with her new position of Station Master.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Inaldra appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[22] Inaldra was added to the game as part of the "New Player Tutorial,"[1] introduced with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[23]

  6. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
