"Index of Organizations" was a survival compendium compiled by intelligence and security forces of the New Republic, and was sent by Carson Teva to New Republic recruits. It was created because of the success of the previous guide, "Species From A to Z," and collected information on criminal organizations across the galaxy, the first one describing Black Sun.[1] Teva later published an expansion about the Pyke Syndicate,[2] and another on Crimson Dawn.[3]

"Index of Organizations" serves as the in-universe text for "Database," a department in Star Wars - The Official Magazine 115 through 117 written by members of Jedipedia.[1] As it is written in German, the exact translation is conjectural.
