"An information broker owed me a favor, and I called it in."
Lando Calrissian[src]
Information broker

A Quarren information broker.

Information brokers, or informants, were private consultants, smugglers, or slicers that provided information and intelligence for credits. In the galaxy, they were sometimes referred to as code dealers, infochants, or sluicers.

R2-D2 and Chewbacca attempted to receive information from an information broker on Nar Shaddaa concerning the Darksaber project, Durga the Hutt and Daala's mysterious Imperial Fleet.
