IPS Employee: "Next!"

―An IPS employee and Bib Fortuna.[src]

The Interstellar Parcel Service or IPS was a shipping corporation that was located in Mos Eisley spaceport[1] on the Outer Rim[2] planet of Tatooine.[1] Occasionally items shipped through the IPS had to be retrieved at the over-sized package redistribution center located on Dune Street. A birthday present for the Hutt crime lord, Jabba Desilijic Tiure, was once shipped through the IPS. One of Jabba's Lieutenants, the Twi'lek Bib Fortuna, was accompanied by the Kowakian monkey-lizard Salacious Crumb when he visited the IPS to retrieve the present.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Interstellar Parcel Service's only appearance is in Tod C. Parkhill's non-canonical comic Best Birthday Ever, which was released in June of 2003 as part of Star Wars Tales 16. Best Birthday Ever was later collected in Star Wars Tales Volume 4.
