"Our doctors discovered the cure for Iridian Plague."
―A Tah'Nuhna[1]

The Iridian Plague was a disease that existed in the galaxy prior to the First Order military's assault on the neutral Mid Rim world of Tah'Nuhna[1] in 34 ABY.[2] The doctors of the Tah'Nuhna species had been the ones to find a cure for the plague. As the First Order launched their attack, one member of the species reflected on that and other achievements of the Tah'Nuhna.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Iridian Plague was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the first issue of the comic series Star Wars: Allegiance, written by Ethan Sacks and published by Marvel Comics in 2019.[1] The disease originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.[3]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 Allegiance 1
  2. Allegiance 1 is set between Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places The Force Awakens in 34 ABY, and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge also takes place in 34 ABY, per the reasoning here. Therefore, the events of Allegiance 1, which includes the destruction of Tah'Nuhna, occurred in 34 ABY.
  3. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
