"You take what you want. That's the Durand way. It's a tactic my mother has perfected."
―Roland Durand, to Omega[1]

Isa Durand was a female crime boss of the Durand family active during the Imperial Era. She was the mother of Roland Durand, a Devaronian male criminal.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] while under Pyke custody, Roland reflected to the human female clone Omega about his family's way of taking what they wanted, a tactic which he claimed Isa had perfected.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Isa Durand was first mentioned in "Infested,"[1] the thirteenth episode of the television series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, released on July 23, 2021.[3]

  2. Star Wars: The Bad Batch begins with the execution of Order 66, an event that Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 19 BBY. Battlefront: Twilight Company establishes that the Stormtrooper Corps was founded by clone commandos, an event that appears in the episode "War-Mantle." Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know, Updated and Expanded dates the formation of the corps to nineteen years before the Battle of Yavin, which corresponds to 19 BBY. As the The Bad Batch episode "Infested" is set before "War-Mantle," it must take place in 19 BBY as well.
