- "Miatt had successfully captured two majors and a lieutenant governor—officials who were promptly executed by the Iverians—before the New Republic stepped in. There could be no charges against Miatt or the civilians though—what laws had they broken? What laws even existed anymore?"
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
The Iverians were the inhabitants of the world Ivera X, where the Galactic Empire strafed the major city to rubble following vandalism of Imperial propaganda and recruitment posters. The civilians were then forced to build Imperial monuments before rebuilding their homes.
Following the dissolution of the Empire in 5 ABY, the Iverians hired the bounty hunter Xegan Miatt to hunt down the fled Imperials responsible for destroying their cities. The Iverians executed three of the captured Imperials before the New Republic stepped in, although the inhabitants of Ivera X were not charged with any crime.
History[]
- "Following repeated acts of vandalism and graffiti on Imperial propaganda and recruitment posters on the small world of Ivera X, the major city was strafed by TIE fighters and bombers until seventy-three percent of its original buildings had been destroyed. The surviving civilians were forced to erect new monuments to the Empire from the rubble before being permitted to rebuild their homes."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire

The Iverians were punished for vandalising Imperial propaganda.
The Iverians were the inhabitants of the small world Ivera X. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Imperial propaganda and recruitment posters on the world were repeatedly vandalized and graffitied, which resulted in the Empire using TIE/ln space superiority starfighters and TIE/sa bombers to strafe Ivera X's major city until seventy-three percent of its original structures were destroyed. Before they were permitted to rebuild their homes, the Iverians that survived were forced to erect a number of new Imperial monuments from the rubble. Other cities on the world were also destroyed.[1]
Following the defeat and dissolution of the Empire[1] in 5 ABY,[2] the Imperials who had been responsible for the destruction of Ivera X's cities fled the world. The Iverians then looted the local Imperial headquarters and used the wealth they obtained there to hire the bounty hunter Xegan Miatt to locate, capture, and bring the responsible Imperials back to Ivera X. Miatt successfully captured two majors and a lieutenant governor and brought them before the Iverians, who swiftly executed them before the recently-formed New Republic stepped in. Due to the uncertainty around what laws existed following the collapse of the Empire, neither Miatt nor any of the Iverian civilians were charged with a crime. The historian Beaumont Kin mentioned the Iverians in[1] his[3] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire[1] in 35 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
Iverians were mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
