The J-19 bo-rifle[2] was a model of bo-rifle manufactured by the Lasan-Malamut Firearms Corporation. It was black in color with a bayonet that sat along the top edge and a folding stock was situated along the back.[4] It was considered less artfully designed than the older AB-75 model.[5]
Agent Kallus of the Imperial Security Bureau used a J-19 in battle, which he modified for close quarters fighting.[5] He initially claimed to have taken it from a Lasan High Honor Guard during the Siege of Lasan. This claim earned him the enmity of Garazeb Orrelios, who believed he was thus using it without a right to it.[3] However, Kallus later revealed that the guardsman had properly gifted it to him upon being defeated, in accordance with the Boosahn Keeraw, the Lasat warrior way.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
Posted before the premiere of the Star Wars Rebels episode "The Honorable Ones,"[5] the official Star Wars Rebels Facebook page wrote that Kallus's bo-rifle was taken as a trophy.[1] However, as established by "The Honorable Ones," the weapon was instead gifted to him by the guardsman he defeated in combat, with Kallus going out of his way to say it was not a trophy.[5]
