The J-44 "Jetforce" was a model of a starfighter sublight engine built by Novaldex. Used aboard Kuat Systems Engineering's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor, it was a precursor to the J-77 "Event Horizon" sublight engine. Because of the J-44's smaller size, its reactant tanks required excessive refueling.^[1]
