Jedi Academy: The Force Oversleeps is a title in the Star Wars: Jedi Academy series. The title sees the return of Victor Starspeeder, introduced in the previous book of the series, as he struggles in his sophomore year. It was released on July 25, 2017, in both eBook[1] and hardcover formats.[2]

Publisher's summary[]

Victor Starspeeder is back at Jedi Academy for year #2, but it's not going the way he'd planned. He was excited about Drama Club and hoped to get the lead in this year's musical... But a new kid got the role. He keeps oversleeping and getting to class late . . . Worst of all, his big sister Christina is getting ready to graduate from Jedi Academy, and there are rumors going around that she's a Sith! What's a Padawan to do? In times when he feels more alone than ever, Victor will have to trust the ways of the Force and his friends if he's going to survive year two in this all-new chapter in the Jedi Academy series.[1]

  4. The events of Jedi Academy: Return of the Padawan take place one year after the events of Jedi Academy, in which Yoda is 700 years old. Since The New Essential Chronology establishes that Yoda was born in 896 BBY, it can be deduced that the events of Jedi Academy: Return of the Padawan take place in 195 BBY, and the tournament that began 150 years prior began in 345 BBY and in Jedi Academy: The Force Oversleeps it is the 164th tournament which means it is 164 years after 345 BBY, so it can be concluded that Jedi Academy: The Force Oversleeps takes place in 181 BBY.
