Jedi Reconnaissance Armor was a type of Jedi Commander armor that was modified from clone trooper armor, and adopted by the Jedi Generals of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. The armor cost 4,000 credits.[1]
In the chaos of the conflict between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems, many clone troopers had developed a fear that even the most experienced Jedi Masters would be caught unprepared and killed by the sheer volume of blaster fire that streamed from either side of the battlefield. To address the concerns of their allies, some Jedi often wore lightweight armor that could offer some protection from blaster fire, while still leaving them largely unencumbered in battle or overland travel.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Jedi Reconnaissance Armor was mentioned in Collapse of the Republic, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1]
