Jek-14 piloted a Jedi Scout Fighter when Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Rusty, and the Padawans went to retrieve the holocrons from the Jedi Temple during the rise of the Galactic Empire. He would fly it again after the Battle of Yavin when Luke Skywalker lost the holocrons to Darth Vader. He soon used it to rescue R2-D2 from a decoy operation, and then went to the hidden Rebel base on Mustafar. He then took the Scout Fighter to help Luke Skywalker attack an Imperial fleet.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Jedi Scout Fighter debuted in the The New Yoda Chronicles animated short films, but was designed by concept artists working on The Clone Wars series. It was part of a joke project called "The Alphabet Project" where the ship represented the letter "E".[1]

In the LEGO Star Wars The New Yoda Chronicles video game adaptation, they appear as enemy units in the Dark Side version of the Battle of Kashyyyk. They are also a playable vehicle in the Light Side campaign, in a space battle against HMP droid gunships and Kom'rk-class fighter/transports.
