Jedi youngling helmets,[3] also known as just just youngling helmets, were a type of gray patterned helmet worn during training by younglings of the Jedi Order. They were large domed headpieces that could be used to cover the wearer's eyes, masking their vision and training them to use the Force rather then their bodily senses alone.[1] In 22 BBY,[4] the younglings of Bear Clan all wore Jedi youngling helmets while training to block blaster bolts with training lightsabers[1] under the supervision of Grand Master Yoda in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant.[2]
