- "That's the galaxy. It's dark, with a few pinpricks of light. And for those… I'll kill who I need to kill."
- ―Jod Na Nawood
Jod Na Nawood was a Force-sensitive human male pirate who operated under many aliases such as Crimson Jack, Dash Zentin, Professor Umiam Gorelox, Emissary, Jodwick Zank, or the "Mad" Captain Silvo. As captain of his own pirate crew during the New Republic Era, Na Nawood was deposed and imprisoned by his lieutenant Brutus around 9 ABY. Locked in the brig of Borgo Prime, he encountered a group of four children: Wim, KB, Neel, and Fern, and struck a deal with them; offering to help return them to their homeworld of At Attin in exchange for a reward. In truth, At Attin was reputed to be the location of an immense treasure horde, which Na Nawood sought for himself. The group worked alongside the droid SM-33 aboard the antique pirate ship, the Onyx Cinder.
Growing up in poverty on a desolate planet, Jod Na Nawood was found by a Jedi, who noticed his force-sensitive potential and taught a slight amount of knowledge to him. However, at some point before 9 ABY, Na Nawood's master was found and killed in front of Na Nawood as part of the Great Jedi Purge. Na Nawood would proceed to become a scoundrel, working with the astronomer Kh'ymm and the bounty hunter Pokkit under different aliases, the two of which were eventually betrayed by Na Nawood.
By the New Republic Era, Jod Na Nawood became the captain of his pirate crew, taking on the alias of "Silvo". However, the trust placed towards him by his crew was lost after his incompetent performance as captain, leading to Na Nawood to be captured and imprisoned at his former crew's base on Borgo Prime. There he was met by Wim, KB, Neel, and Fern, four lost children from At Attin, the lost planet of eternal treasure. Na Nawood proceeded to to work with the children alongside the droid SM-33 under the excuse of returning them to the planet for a reward, while secretly planning to reach and take the rumored treasure of the planet for himself. Na Nawood would eventually find the location of At Attin, betraying the children and returning to his crew. Na Nawood was able to convince his crew to believe the existance of At Attin, while killing the new captain, Brutus, to reclaim his position as captain. Na Nawood would ultimately stage an invasion on At Attin, a plot which failed after the Skeleton Crew repelled his invading forces with the support of the New Republic.
Biography[]
Early life and career[]
- "So... This is At Attin? ( smacks lips ) It tastes like ashy dust. Looks a lot like my home planet, actually."
- ―Jod Na Nawood, to the children
Jod Na Nawood was a Force-sensitive human[7] male[3] born prior to the New Republic Era.[9] He was raised on a planet that tasted like "ashy dust," according to himself.[1] During his formative years, Jod—in his own words—was living in "a hole in the ground" and spent his days trying to simply get by. However, he encountered a Jedi, who discovered he was Force-sensitive and, despite being as poor as he, inspired him by assuring the young boy he had potential. In their time together, she was able to teach him some basics of the Force.[8] He learned[10] the Jedi teaching[11] that his reality was determined by his focus.[10] Na Nawood's time with his mentor was short-lived, however, as she was soon hunted down and killed. Forced to watch the fate of his master by her murderers, Na Nawood developed a disillusioned view of life and believed that the galaxy was a dark place, with only a few sparks of light.[8]
As a career,[7] Na Nawood[12] became a pirate[7] and scoundrel[5] operating under many different names and aliases,[12] including Crimson Jack, which was the name the astronomer and his alleged friend Kh'ymm knew him by.[7] At some point, he met the bounty hunter Pokkit while operating under the name "Dash Zentin." He left her in a pit of leeches. Pokkit tried to track him down, but no one she asked had ever heard of a "Dash Zentin."[10] Over his career, he used quick-thinking, charm, and conversation skills to escape difficult situations.[13] He was considered to be an enigmatic individual, whose past and motivations were not always clear.[5]
New Republic Era[]
Cargo raid[]
- "I know these cycles have been lean. That some of you have all but given up on me, your good old captain. It's all forgotten now. Because at long last, I've brought you to the only thing that matters. Cold… hard… credits."
- ―Silvo to his crew

Silvo enters the intercepted bulk freighter.
During the New Republic Era, Na Nawood, operating under the name "Silvo,"[7] was the captain of a pirate crew and in command of a frigate.[2] Around 9 ABY,[14] he[5] suspected that some of his subordinates had developed a hint of mistrust in his leadership—an uncertainty he sought to dispel with a quick influx of money. To this end, the pirates launched an attack on a merchant freighter, aiming to intercept its allegedly substantial shipment of credits.[2]
After the assault team had overpowered the freighter's personnel, Silvo boarded the starship, accompanied by Gunter and Chaelt, and proceeded to the vault. Silvo ineffectively attempted to force the ship's captain to open the door, choking him in the process. When the captain denied transporting any valuable cargo, he had him tossed out the airlock. As the pirates cut through the vault door, Silvo promised his fellows hard credits, but the whole shipment shortly turned out to be nothing more than a single coin. Incited by Brutus's ensuing speech, the crew mutinied against Silvo, who desperately fought back and tried to explain himself.[2] This act of rebellion eventually cemented Brutus as the new captain of the crew.[9]
Pirate prisoner[]
- "I can help you get to your ship. Find that planet of yours. All I ask is that you take me with you. I've been stuck on this scabby rock far too long."
- ―Jod Na Nawood, to Wim, Neel, Fern, and KB

Jod Na Nawood was imprisoned in the brig on the asteroid of Borgo Prime.
Silvo was imprisoned in the brig of his former crew's base on the asteroid Borgo Prime, a shadowport in the Outer Rim. Some time later, a group of lost children from At Attin, the lost planet of eternal treasure, ventured to the asteroid, where they were taken to the same cell as the scoundrel. As Wim, Neel, Fern, and KB discussed their situation and next steps, Na Nawood listened in, revealing himself as an argument ensued between Wim and Fern. He offered to help the group return to the starship they had found back on At Attin, and help them return to the world, on the condition that he escape with them. After Fern questioned how they would reach the key to their cell, Na Nawood stepped forward, stating that the distance between the key and themselves was just an illusion, before using the Force to bring it towards his hand. Wim questioned if Na Nawood was a Jedi, to which the latter responded by shushing him and asking if he could keep a secret.[9]
Na Nawood and the kids used the key to escape the cell but noticed that there were pirates guards around the corner. To distract them, Na Nawood used the force to knock over an object, and they quickly escaped. When Na Nawood and the children reached the Onyx Cinder, the children informed Na Nawood that SM-33 was still a captive of the pirates, and Na Nawood claimed that they should leave him, saying he is just a droid, but Fern insisted that they find him, and Nawood had to agree.[7]
As Silvo walked through the Port and to the pirate brig, he heard Captain Brutus scream that Captain Silvo had escaped, hearing this, Silvo put on his hood. When Silvo arrived at the brig, he turned on a series of droids, including a B1 Battle Droid, who asked if they won the Clone Wars, and another droid, with the intent of rescuing a prince. When Silvo found SM-33, he quickly loaded him on to a cart. While Silvo did this, an Ishi Tib pirate, named Benjar Pranic saw him and recognized him. He told Silvo that he was a better captain the Brutus was and stalled him before reporting him to Captain Brutus. When he arrived back on the ship, pirates were chasing him. They prepared to jump to hyperspace, but realized that Na Nawood and the kids are stuck to the port via a strong rope. They tried to get out, but they were held back, and Nawood said it’s a strong rope. He then prepared to jump into hyperspace with the rope attached, and KB said that doing so was very dangerous. They did it anyway and Na Nawood told the kids that they were going to meet an old friend of his.[7]
Later, while the kids repaired SM-33, Na Nawood made a bowl of porridge in front of the children and left, prompting the kids to scramble for the food. As Na Nawood investigated the ship, he searched through the clothes in the room. After trying on a boot, he pulled a knife out from the skeletal remains of a crew member. SM-33 came from behind and Na Nawood tried to ask SM-33 if the kids really were from At Attin, but SM-33 refuses to answer.[7]
After the kids slept, Na Nawood noticed KB was still awake. She pointed out her suspicions that he was not a Jedi based on her calculations of the odds. Na Nawood retorted that not everything in the galaxy can be calculated, and told her to trust her gut, with him switching off the lights and telling her to get some sleep.[7]
Visiting a "friend"[]
- "No, you can't trust Jack! He'll betray you!"
"I told you she was a backstabber!" - ―Kh'ymm and Jod Na Nawood
Na Nawood piloted the Onyx Cinder into a star system featuring a massive gas giant and its rocky moon. He maneuvered the ship over the moon's rugged surface, passing a telescope array and an empty landing pad before soaring above a desolate, cratered wilderness. The children disembarked from the starship, stepping onto the cold, barren terrain of the moon. After weaving through a small crowd, Jod lead the four children in a single file along a narrow ridge. As they walked, he warned them about an old acquaintance they are meeting, claiming that he knows her but does not trust her, fearing she might betray them.[7]
As the group approached the facility on the moon, Na Nawood would be met by a TT-8L/Y7 gatekeepr droid controlled by the astronomer Kh'ymm. Kh'ymm would identifiy Na Nawood as Crimson Jack, with Na Nawood apologizing for their past relations, informing Kh'ymm that he returned to bring something special. Kh'ymm would allow the group to enter, with Na Nawood and the children meeting Kh'ymm in person.[7]
Kh'ymm would be astonished as she received the information from the children that they are from At Attin, flying away to bring an ancient chart of the Jewels of the Old Republic, nine planets hidden away for safekeeping, which At Attin is a part of. Fern would request a map, with Na Nawood noting that the children themselves can provide the features of At Attin in order to locate it. Though Kh'ymm was eventually able to locate the planet, she pretended to have the need to run several parameters before finishing the sequence. However, Na Nawood deduced that Kh'ymm was stalling, with the situation further intensified as they heard a radio of incoming New Republic forces approaching the moon. Na Nawood threatened Kh'ymm to call off the reinforcements, only to fire upon Kh'ymm after she attempted to reason. After Na Nawood fended off Kh'ymm's counterattacks, he stole the data card from the telescope and destroyed the computer system with his blaster, telling the children to leave with him.[7]
After he returned to the Onyx Cinder, Na Nawood was blocked by Fern and KB from entering the ship. Na Nawood would be demanded to tell the truth of his relations with Kh'ymm. Due to SM-33 and the approaching X-wing starfighters, Na Nawood admitted that he, like the children, is lost and alone, presenting an agreement to work as partners. After being threatened by SM-33, Na Nawood agreed to KB to work for them, with the group returning upon and launching the ship. However, the ship was spotted and pursued by the X-wings. Na Nawood volunteered to fix the hyperdrive, while making Neel pilot the ship and leading Wim and Fern to the turrets on the ship. Na Nawood would teach Fern and Wim the controls, setting them each on a turret. After returning to pilot the ship, KB was able to import the coordinates, with the group being able to jump into hyperspace and escape from the moon.[7]
The wrong planet[]
- "So there I was, surrounded by warriors, who tell me you lot have [chuckling] joined up with their sworn enemy. Wasn't looking good. But, hey, those Hattan guys, they love a bargain. So, well, couple of Republic credits..."
"Wait, what--"
"And I bought the whole herd. What?"
"Where'd you get--Did you stole my dataries?"
"Yeah. To save your lives." - ―Jod Na Nawood and Wim
After leaving hyperspace, Na Nawood and the group approached At Achrann, which they presumed as At Attin. After being locked into an autopilot sequence to land on the planet, the group exited the ship to be met by a desolate and foggy environment. Na Nawood would remark that the environment looks similar to his homeworld, with Neel later noticing and informing that the planet is not At Attin. As the children ran off to explore, Na Nawood would be forced to stay on the ship with SM-33 under the order of Fern. Na Nawood would later scour the ship through the children's items to look for valuables, discovering and taking a bag of Old Republic credits. However, he was immediately pinned to a wall by SM-33, who identified Na Nawood as a thief. After Na Nawood reminded SM-33 of his identity, SM-33 would reveal that his memory was disturbed by At Achrann, the planet that they are currently on. However, Na Nawood would demand the location of At Attin from SM-33, with SM-33 being unable to give Na Nawood the location, stating that he cannot recall the location of At Attin. Na Nawood, however, would attempt to help SM-33 remember his memories.[1]
Na Nawood would take SM-33 outside the ship, urging him to remember information about At Attin and treasure. However, SM-33 would notice warriors, with the two surrounded by Hattan warriors appearing from the fog. Na Nawood would surrender to the forces, while also becoming aware that the children has been captured by the Troik, a faction in conflict with the Hattan due to stolen eopies. However, Na Nawood, using the credits he previously stolen, was able to buy the entire herd, returning the eopies to the Troik in exchange for the freedom of the children. The Troik Hayna, after believing that the children has proven their loyalty, wishes to take them to the Fallen Sanctum, a tower parallel to the Supervisor's Tower on At Attin.[1]
After Hayna's departure, the crew entered and reached the top of the tower through an elevator, where Hayna previously informed to potentially contain the coordinates to At Attin. At the top of the tower, the group found a desolated room, with Na Nawood noticing a pillar recording the name and coordinates to the planet they are on. As Neel discovered the pillar recording At Attin, he noticed the coordinates to be forcibly removed. SM-33 revealed himself to have been the one to destroy the coordinates, revealing that he was previously on the planet with his former captain. However, Fern considered that SM-33 may not be able to tell the coordinates because he was ordered as such, commanding SM-33 to override his memory and tell them what he knows about At Attin. SM-33, after remembering the details, informed that his captain commanded him to kill any of his crew that saw the coordinates to At Attin, forget his knowledge over the planet, and "pull apart" anyone that attempts to reach the treasure on planet, causing him to engage upon the children. Though Na Nawood failed to use the blaster to disable SM-33, he was able to reach behind and shut down the droid by pressing the off switch after Neel distracted SM-33.[1]
Mission to Lanupa[]
- "You have a lot to learn about pirates."
- ―Jod Na Nawood, to Wim, Neel, KB, and Fern
Na Nawood eventually returned unto the Onyx Cinder with the children, tying up the disabled SM-33 with ropes. After SM-33 was reactivated, he informed that he will no longer harm the children, as the orders came from his former captain, Tak Rennod. Na Nawood would astonished, acknowledging that they are aboard the same ship used by Rennod, whom Na Nawood revealed to have a legendary reputation. However, Na Nawood was soon dismissed by Fern, who was able to receive information from SM-33 that Rennod hid the coordinates to At Attin at his lair beneath Skull Ridge Mountain. After Fern demanded SM-33 to take to the location, he would immediately break free and direct the ship to the frozen planet of Lanupa.[10]
While in hyperspace, SM-33 recounted the fate of Tak Rennod to the children, which Na Nawood heard from a distance. Though Na Nawood attempted to end the storytelling, Neel prompted SM-33 to recount the details of Skull Ridge Mountain, which he revealed was the place of his assembly. However, Na Nawood noticed Wim departing from the group, whom he followed to discover Wim sitting alone, staring at his datapad. Na Nawood would comfort Wim by advising him to let go of his attachments, using the force to return Wim's datapad and depart afterwards.[10]
The Onyx Cinder would later exit hyperspace, arriving in Lanupa orbit. After reaching near the mountains, the ship was escorted by two Lanupan security vessels. Na Nawood, after greeting with the security personnel, would disguise the children as "Wise Elders" from the Bratric system in order to allow them into the facility with SM-33, along with taking all the Old Republic credits brought onto the ship. After exiting from the ship, Na Nawood introduced the children as "Wise Elders" and proceed to the entrance of the lair. Though his knife was taken away during a frisk, Na Nawood would take the knife with the force and hide it under his coat. After being introduced to the location by a female hotel director, Na Nawood bribed her with several Old Republic credits for a reservation and luxury service. However, he recognized by Pokkit, who identified Na Nawood as Dash Zentin. After talking with Pokkit, Na Nawood would be alerted, bribing the director with a large amount of credits and heading towards the booked room. At the room, SM-33 informed Na Nawood that Rennod's layer would still exist underground near the modern location of the spa, which the entrance is marked with his sigil. Na Nawood would then command the children to split into two groups, reminding the children that they are being hunted down by pirates.[10]
Near the spa, Na Nawood, along with KB and Neel, navigated through texts encrypted near a cliff. However, his identity was exposed by a guard, causing him to run with the children. Though the group was eventually surrounded by security forces, KB was able to interfere with pipeline to dispel the guards with mud. They were later confronted by SM-33, who requested them to meet with the others. Na Nawood, along with the group, would find Fern recounting tales to Cthallops, who helped the group to open a path if they entertained him. Heading down the pathway leading to the lair, Na Nawood became aware that they are being pursued by his former pirate crew, sent in by Brutus after Pokkit called them in to claim Na Nawood and the children's bounty. After navigating through the underground pathways, the group arrived at a room containing pool of acid, along with a text encrypted on roof stating: "All who enter paradise must make the greatest sacrifice." Na Nawood deduced that the object that is required is treasure, throwing in an Old Republic credit to allow the acid to drain away.[10]
Through the gate, the group discovered Rennod's lair, with SM-33 informing the coordinates to be within Rennod's datalog. Na Nawood informed that a pirate captain would never trust his crew, telling the group to find something that looks off. Neel would eventually find an intact roast amidst a table of rotten food. After nearly fell from a trap triggered by a stool, Na Nawood volunteered to grab the roast, which triggered a hidden log port for SM-33 to access and discover the coordinates of At Attin. Na Nawood would command SM-33 to refill the previous chamber with acid, causing the pirates attempting to breach to gate to be incapacitated. After a holographic recording of Tak Rennod confirmed the treasure on At Attin to be the last Old Republic Mint, Na Nawood would break the deal and challenge Fern in combat to claim position as leader. Using the force and his knife, Na Nawood threatened Fern to yield, with Wim being unable to save Fern after unsuccessfully activating a lightsaber. Fern would ultimately surrender to Na Nawood, with Na Nawood, as the new captain, commanding SM-33 to capture the children for mutiny. However, Wim activated the previous stool trap, allowing the children to escape with the trap. Na Nawood would then grab the lightsaber dropped by Wim, soon departing with a large hoard of treasure.[10]
Return to the pirates[]
- "We all know Brutus makes a very capable first mate. You stick with him, you get a meager reward. You come with me, I'll give you the entire kriffing galaxy."
"Time's up. We'll go see this At Attin. If there's no treasure, you're going for a little ride." - ―Jod Na Nawood and Brutus
After exiting from a manhole cover with his hoard of treasure, Na Nawood would find himself met by several hotel personnel, alongside his former crew intending to capture him. After Na Nawood attempted to reason with Gunter to take the treasure within the lair, he ordered SM-33 to attack, only for the droid to be immediately disabled. Pokkit and the pirates would mock Na Nawood's failure after capturing him, but they were soon attacked by incoming X-wings. Gunter would order the pirates to retreat, bringing Na Nawood and SM-33 along with them.[15]
Returning unto the pirate frigate, Na Nawood was found guilty by Brutus, who sentenced him to be executed through airlock. However, Chaelt, a sympathizer of Na Nawood, demanded a chance of last appeal for Na Nawood in accordance with the pirates' code, to which was accepted by the pirates. After a long pause, Na Nawood delivered a speech that reminds the pirates of their poverty, suggesting a place where the pirates can receive an endless amount of wealth from. He further convinced the pirates with an Old Republic credit, along with singing a well-known chanty that sings the fate of Tak Rennod. Brutus agreed to let Na Nawood live to the extent of finding the treasure, threatening to resume his execution if his claims were false.[15]
After the pirate frigate exited hyperspace, the ship would arrive before a large gas body. Brutus believed that no ship can bypass through the field, ordering Na Nawood's execution to be resumed. However, Na Nawood explained that At Attin is hidden beneath the field, which was confirmed by SM-33 to be the "endless storm" described by Tak Rennod to surround At Attin. Na Nawood demanded a fighter to fly through the field himself, but Brutus insisted on sending in the pirate Glerb. However, the crew soon lost connection to Glerb after his ship was disrupted within the barrier, causing Brutus to immediately proceed with Na Nawood's execution. The process was once again interrupted by Chaelt, who discovered a ship jumping out of hyperspace near the orbit. Na Nawood would be freed by Chaelt, stating the Onyx Cinder to be key in entering through the barrier.[16]
Brutus, giving Na Nawood a final chance, pulls in the Onyx Cinder with a tractor beam. Brutus, who attempted to board the ship, was caught and disabled by the ship's claw, allowing Na Nawood to release his handcuffs with the force. Na Nawood would pick up Brutus' blaster musket and immediately kill him with the weapon, condemning Brutus and reclaiming his position as captain. Na Nawood then ordered the pirates to seize the ship from the children aboard and to prepare the frigate to invade At Attin. On the Onyx Cinder, Silvo received a message sent by the children's parents to find a Republic Emissary, an official who knows the location of At Attin. However, Wim attempted to resist Na Nawood, reminding him and SM-33 that they found the ship first. Though Na Nawood laid claim to be captain of the Onyx Cinder, Fern called "unclaimsies" and reclaimed the ship for children only. SM-33 would comply with Fern, knocking down Na Nawood and removing the pirates from the ship. Though the Onyx Cinder was able to take off, Na Nawood recovered consciousness, reaching and boarding the ship along with the children and SM-33.[16]
Invasion of At Attin[]
- "I don't want to hurt anyone. I don't want to damage this wonderful planet. I want you can all go back to work...making credits. What is it you call it? The Great Work? Beautiful. You can all carry on exactly as you were before. Crafting the one thing that means something in this galaxy. Cold, hard credits."
- ―Jod Na Nawood
Because the Onyx Cinder was stolen by Tak Rennod from the mint, the ship was granted passage through the barrier, arriving near the orbit of At Attin. Na Nawood revealed himself, beheading SM-33 with his lightsaber and ordering the children to stand down. Na Nawood scolded the children, threatening them with his lightsaber to comply with his plot, or will harm them and their family. As the Onyx Cinder landed on At Attin, Jod pretended to be a Republic Emissary, greeted by the security droids of At Attin to proceed immediately to the mint. The landing platform descended beneath the city, with Na Nawood ordering the security droids to hold the children on the ship. After Na Nawood requested contact with his ship, the security droids informed that all contact made outside the barrier must be permitted by the Supervisor, whom which Na Nawood remarked to be "Better than dealing with a droid." Arriving at the vault, Na Nawood was escorted by the security droids to find an enormous wealth of credits. Na Nawood then lowered before a stack of credits, grabbing a credit and bursting out in laughter from the credits falling from the pile. Na Nawood later returned to the children, whom were met by their parents. Na Nawood, in response, would take and ignite his lightsaber.[16]
Na Nawood, however, introduced himself as an Emissary to the parents, telling the security droids to take away Wim, Neel, KB, and their parents. Na Nawood then requested to see the Supervisor along with Fern and her mother, undersecretary Fara. At the top of the Supervisor's Tower, Na Nawood was introduced to The Supervisor, revealed to have been a droid in control of At Attin's population. Na Nawood's deception that he was a Republic Emissary fell apart when he also claimed to be a Jedi, as the last transmission At Attin had received from the Republic claimed that the Jedi were traitors. Na Nawood deactivated the Supervisor and through manipulation and threats achieved passage of his crew through the Barrier. However, due to the actions of the Skeleton Crew and their parents (particularly Fara and Wendle) the New Republic was alerted to the goings-on and the Barrier was destroyed. In the course of the scuffle, Na Nawood lost his lightsaber to Wim and his ship was destroyed by New Republic X-Wings and B-Wings. Na Nawood would witness the failure of his plot as he watched his frigate crash into the city.[17]
Personality and traits[]
- "I'm hungry. I've been hungry since I can remember. 'Cause all I ever had were scraps. How long have you been hungry? How long? How long have you been left behind? In junk heaps of the galaxy fighting over crumbs."
- ―Jod Na Nawood, to his pirate crew
Na Nawood, like many pirates, was notoriously greedy, which led him to find the treasure planet At Attin and betray the Skeleton Crew.[6] He had no qualms about even killing innocent people, as he threatened the Skeleton Crew with tearing them apart if they told anyone on the planet At Attin[16] and also ordered a simple merchant captain to be thrown down the airlock.[2] Despite his cruel and ruthless nature, he cared for his crew as family to them, accepting an apology from one of his former crew members Benjar Pranic before being threatened with betrayal,[7] and was generous enough to share the treasure of At Attin with his former crewmates.[15] Having grown up in poverty and seeing his Jedi Master killed before his own eyes, he had a cynical outlook on life and viewed the galaxy as a cruel and cold place where any sliver of light was rare and sometimes required heinous acts to achieve and maintain.[17]
Powers and abilities[]
- "Your focus determines your reality. You have vision. Embrace it. Make your life the one you wanna live."
"Wait, but if you're not really a Jedi, how'd you do that?"" - ―Jod Na Nawood and Wim
As a Force-sensitive, Na Nawood was able to harness the power of the Force. He utilized his abilities to levitate a key in the air[9] and used the Force to take back his weapons.[10] He also knew how to use Force push[8] and Force Pull, though his limited training prevents him from using these powers at his full potential. Nawood also knew how to rely on charm, quick-thinking, and conversation skills as tactics to get out of danger.[7] He was also versed in some of the teachings of the Jedi Order which enabled him to share bits of Jedi philosophy with outsiders to convince them that he was a Jedi and therefore trustworthy. Though not experienced with a lightsaber, Jod’s efficiency with it improved overtime and was eventually able to assume basic stances and block stun bolts with not much trouble[17], while also managing to decapitate SM-33 with ease.[16]
Equipment[]
As Silvo, Na Nawood wore a helmet and a face-covering mask with angular designs. His attire featured layered clothing with a long knee-length coat, with a bandolier loaded with ammunition across the chest.[2] While escaping, he carried a scoped blaster pistol[9] as well as a giant dagger-knife looted from a corpse aboard the Onyx Cinder.[7] Na Nawood later claimed a lightsaber from Tak Rennod's lair for his own.[6] After killing Brutus with his own blaster musket, Na Nawood regained his old attire; his old helmet, coat, bandolier, and another blaster pistol model in a reverse-draw holster.[16]
Behind the scenes[]
Jod Na Nawood first appeared in the Disney+ television series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, portrayed by Jude Law.[18] He was first identified in a listing by German retailer Müller revealing the LEGO set 75374 The Onyx Cinder.[19]
Having been a fan of the franchise since the release of the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, in particular of Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Law requested that his character be able to wear a stripe down the side of his pants, an idea which was accepted.[20]
