John Bos is a journalist and performing arts producer. While working at National Public Radio, he served as the executive producer of The Empire Strikes Back radio drama.[1]
Bos served as NPR's Director of Arts and Performance Programs during the early 1980s. In this capacity he gave the announcement that NPR was adapting Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back,[2] and he oversaw the serial's development, production and release.[3] Besides NPR, Bos has worked for the United States Information Agency and the New York State Council on the Arts. He writes as a freelance journalist in Greenfield, Massachusetts, focusing on issues around climate change and end-of-life care.[4]
