Jorsooda was a Hutt male crime lord who was the chief rival of Karagga the Hutt.[2] Sometime between 3645 BBY and 3640 BBY,[1] Jorsooda had purchased three pet vorantiki and bet that they could kill Karagga's prized rancor, Bonethrasher. The starved and crazed animals were injected with adrenals and released into the pit of Karagga's Palace[2] on the planet Nal Hutta[1]—only to be slain by Bonethrasher within one minute. Karagga rewarded his pet by tossing a surprised Jorsooda into the pit as a flavorful snack.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Jorsooda was first mentioned in the Codex entry for Bonethrasher in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[2] The Codex entry was added to the game in 2012 as part of Game Update 1.1.[3]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Act III of SWTOR mini.png Star Wars: The Old Republic—Imperial Agent Mission: "Paying Respects" on Voss establishes that Voss had been opened up to the wider galaxy for five years. Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia places the events of Act III around 3640 BBY; thus, Voss's opening up occurred around 3645 BBY. As vorantiki were native to Voss, Jorsooda could not have acquired them prior to 3645 BBY. Both the base game of Star Wars: The Old Republic and the Battle of Ilum take place in 3640 BBY per the reasoning here. Since the "Hutt Hospitality" Operation takes place in Karagga's Palace on the planet Nal Hutta, set sometime after the battle but is part of the base game, the Operation's events must occur in 3640 BBY. As SWTOR mini.png Star Wars: The Old Republic—Codex: "Bonethrasher" is acquired upon killing Bonethrasher during the Operation, and the Codex entry mentions Jorsooda and his vorantiki's deaths at Karagga's Palace, the deaths must have occurred on Nal Hutta between 3645 BBY and 3640 BBY.
