Jungle Felucians were a primitive sentient species of amphibians native to the Outer Rim Territories planet Felucia. Members of the species were tuned to the ever-changing presence of the Force on their homeworld. Jungle Felucians largely kept to themselves, but when members of the Gossam species arrived on the world they drove the Jungle Felucians into hiding deep within the planet's wild forests.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In the new Star Wars canon, Jungle Felucians were mentioned in the 2015 magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon 21.[1] The species was originally developed for the 2008 Star Wars Legends Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game and surrounding multimedia project.[2] They were mentioned prior to the release of the game in October of 2007 in an article that was part of a series titled The Force Unleashed Preview, published by Wizards of the Coast on their website to promote the upcoming The Force Unleashed-themed Star Wars Miniatures line.[3]
