Jybbuk-fruit was a type of sweet-tasting fruit.[1] In 4 ABY,[2] the former Imperial loyalty officer Sinjir Rath Velus consumed the alcoholic beverage sashin-leaf mead while visiting the cantina Pok's Place in the Outer Rim planet Akiva's capital city of Myrra. He felt the mead tasted like a mixture of jybbuk-fruit and oi-oi berries.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Jybbuk-fruit was first mentioned in Aftermath, a 2015 novel written by Chuck Wendig.[1]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 Aftermath
  2. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates the reunion of Norra Wexley and Temmin Wexley on Akiva—which occurs during the rebellion on Akiva, according to Aftermath—to thirty years before the Hosnian Cataclysm, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas places in 34 ABY. The mention of jybbuk-fruit takes place at the start of Akiva's rebellion, and can therefore be placed in 4 ABY.
