The KPR servant droid was a fairly simple maintenance droid built by Lerrimore Droids.[1] They were very common on Outer Rim planets like Tatooine.
It was recognizable by its colored (white or green) dome at the top of its wheeled body. KPR units were used as security droids for they could sound alarms, run diagnostics and handle security lighting and fences on remote installations.
Owen Lars had a KPR unit at his Moisture farm. A couple of KPRs were aboard the sandcrawler which captured C-3PO and R2-D2.
