KZZ riot armor was a type of armor infamously favored by Corporate Sector Espos and produced by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc. It consisted of a reinforced brown blast helmet and vest and a small shield strapped to the wearer's arm.

Produced by Merr-Sonn, KZZ riot armor was constructed of hardened ceramic plating. The armor could not deflect a blaster bolt, but it was capable of withstanding direct hits from rocks, slugs, and other projectiles. The main armor was worn over a body glove that was resistant to stun blasts. An armored helmet was equipped with retractable blast visors that were designed to counter the effects of luma and flash grenades.[2]
The armor was accompanied by a blast shield constructed of a ceramic/transparisteel composite that was able to deflect energy bolts from small hand-held weapons. The shield could be fitted with optional shock projectors to stun protestors. In situations where the wearer was facing stun gas, nerve agents or other toxins, oxygen processors and sealed environment suits were issued.[2]
