Kabul Industries mining operation on Otunia.
Kabul Industries was a mining operation based on Otunia and owned by Lorn Kabul. Its work force consisted primarily of indentured workers who were criminals sentenced to work in the mines.
When Lorn Kabul was assassinated by his brother, Seth Kabul, the brother took over the mining operation, intending to enter a partnership with the Galactic Empire.
However, his plans were thwarted by Lorn's daughter Arista Kabul and her two friends, Tek and Grissom, who sabotaged the entire mining operation by blowing up the mines.

Kabul is also the name of the capital of the real-world Afghanistan, which is also rich in natural metals and mines.
