Kala'uun was a spaceport[3] on Ryloth[1]
History[]
During the Ryloth Insurgency following the Clone Wars, TriNebulon News reported from Kala'uun that Cham Syndulla of the Free Ryloth Movement claimed responsibility for the explosion of a reservoir that washed away an Imperial hovertrain.[1]
At some point prior to the destruction of the planet Alderaan, the smuggler Han Solo visited Kala'uun and struck up a relationship with a Twi'lek bartender named Hellene.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Kala'uun was first introduced as a city on the planet Ryloth in "Big Quince," a short Star Wars Legends story written by Peter M. Schweighofer and released in Star Wars Adventure Journal 2 in 1994. The city's existence, although not its location, were confirmed to be canon by A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy, an adaptation of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope written by Alexandra Bracken and released in 2015.
