The Jedi Training Center[3] on the planet Kamparas was an academy used by the Jedi Order during the age of the Galactic Republic.[1] Among the members of the Order, the Kamparas facility was considered among one of the most important Jedi establishments along with the Coruscant Jedi Temple and the Great Jedi Library of Ossus.[4]
History[]
Established sometime before the New Sith Wars by the Jedi Order, the Kamaparas facility was known for its specialization in data collection and storage. Home to many Jedi Lore Keepers, this academy often hosted clans of Jedi Initiates from the Coruscant Temple for specialized training.[5]
During the final years of the Republic the academy hosted some of the brightest minds of the era. Jedi Master Yaddle made this facility her residence when she wasn't on Coruscant, overseeing study and tutelage within the academy.[6] Both Padawans Jorus C'baoth and Lexia Ginorra studied here, going on to do great deeds on behalf of the Order.[7][3] During the Separatist Crisis leading up to the Clone Wars, the facility came into the spotlight when it received a shipment of tax-payer purchased Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptors and later during the "Baby Ludi" custody case.[8] The Order moved the clan of which Aris-Del Wari, or "Baby Ludi", was a part of during the highly publicized debate surrounding the Order's acquisition of the child without the mother's consent.[9]
According to Darth Sidious's notes in his stolen copy of The Jedi Path: A Manual for Students of the Force, the Kamparas facility was one of many that he was able to locate and secure during the Great Jedi Purge after learning of the academy's location in the pages of the Jedi text. The Galactic Empire later agreed to terms with the Bounty Hunters' Guild, allowing members of the guild to use the facilities as a training facility.[2]
