A tournament for Holochess was declared on Kashyyyk during the early stages of the Galactic Civil War. It was presumably hosted by the Wookiee species. The Star Tours security check-in droid, G2-9T, inquired whether any of the passengers were headed to Kashyyyk to participate in the tournament, and then advised them to let their Wookiee opponents win.

The Kashyyyk Holochess tournament was first mentioned in the Star Tours: The Adventures Continue ride for Disney Hollywood Studios by the character G2-9T. His advice to the passengers was a reference to C-3PO's next advice of strategy for R2-D2 regarding his playing Dejarik against Chewbacca, after the former learned from Han Solo that Wookiees (Chewbacca's species) were known to rip human arms out of their sockets if they lose at something or otherwise are provoked, in A New Hope.
