- ―Kasva Jhoff to the shuttle Tydirium
Kasva Jhoff was a human male who was born on the planet Abridon to his father Harclew, and was the grandson of Amnen Jhoff.[1] When he came of age, Jhoff was forcibly enlisted into the Imperial Navy.[1] In 4 ABY, he served onboard the bridge of the Executor, the personal flagship of Darth Vader, as a flight controller[4] while the ship orbited Endor with the second Death Star in preparation for an ambush on an attacking Rebel fleet.[3]
When a strike team led by Rebel General Han Solo approached the moon in a stolen shuttle, Jhoff, being observed over the shoulder by Fleet Admiral Firmus Piett, contacted the ship and requested the proper Imperial codes to proceed. As Solo transmitted the codes, Vader, standing nearby, sensed his son Luke Skywalker aboard the shuttle and approached Jhoff, asking where the ship was going. Piett leaned over Jhoff's shoulder and requested its cargo and destination, to which Solo responded, claiming that they were transporting a parts and technical crew to Endor. Vader, upon confirming with Piett that they had a proper code clearance, allowed the shuttle to pass. Jhoff once again contacted the ship and informed the shuttle they could proceed on their current course.[3]
A short while later, when the Battle of Endor broke out, Jhoff was still stationed on the Executor's bridge.[1] He perished when the ship lost its bridge deflector shields and Rebel pilot Arvel Crynyd crashed his damaged A-wing into it,[3] killing the bridge crew and incinerating Jhoff as he threw his hands in front of his face.[1]
