Katie Johnson was the daughter of Albin Johnson, the founder of the 501st Legion costuming group. When Katie was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Albin and the R2-D2 Builders Club created a pink astromech droid named R2-KT which remained by her bedside. After Katie's death, R2-KT has continued to visit children in hospitals, and help spread awareness of pediatric illness. The droid was adopted into continuity by producers as a tribute to Katie.[1] The story "Tales of Villainy: Give & Take," written by Andrew Griffith, and published in the twelfth issue of the 2020 Star Wars Adventures comic series was dedicated to Johnson.[2]
