Kerane Valley was a valley on Hoth, located east of Echo Base, between Moorsh Moraine and the Nev Ice Flow. Blizzard Force went through this treacherous valley to get to Echo Base during the Battle of Hoth. Colonel Starck's Blizzard 4 would attempt to impress Darth Vader by taking his group on a direct but dangerous route through the valley. The move resulted in the loss of three walkers to ice flows, and Starck was forced to regroup with the rest of the assault force.[1]
