Keven Tarr was a human male technician and slicer who worked for the Ministry of Technology on the planet Hetzal Prime.
Biography[]
As a child, he discovered that four different types of grain reacted with each other through a complex interaction and a species of insects which was killed because it thought to be vermin was actually a symbiotic partner species for these cereals. The solution he created was to let the plants grow on the same field and the insects live. This improved both quantity and quality of the harvest as well as let a hybrid fruit ripe through the interaction of the harvest. After this small project, the hetzalian authorities trusted him with more important ones like the creation of a crop field rotation algorithm up to a weather control system. He rose up fast to a position in the Ministry of Technology, but needed the approval of the gouverment for every new project. [1]
When the Hetzal system was threatened by hyperspace anomalies from the Great Hyperspace Disaster, Tarr was sent over by the ministry to assist Minister Zeffren Ecka. He was able to bring up a map of the anomalies in the star system by combining the feeds from the remaining undestroyed satellites, and later picked up a transmission from Jedi Master Avar Kriss reassuring the people of Hetzal that help was on the way.[1]
After the Emergence in the Hetzal system had ceased, Keven worked onboard the Third Horizon, monitoring the reconstruction of the Legacy Run.[1]
Tarr later took a job with the San Tekka clan.[2] After the Nihil marauders established the Occlusion Zone and claimed ten sectors of the Outer Rim, the Republic reached out to the San Tekkas, who sent Tarr to assist.[5] Tarr led a Republic Defense Coalition research team in attempting to find a way to breach the Stormwall barrier that surrounded the Occlusion Zone.[3]
